Why have a regular pest control service? In general, modern insecticides break down into their base elements rapidly when compared to the older insecticide formulations of years gone by. Frequent applications are necessary to maintain an effective residual and offset the degradation caused by inclement weather, UV rays, landscape maintenance by homeowner, and other factors. In homes where rodent control is an issue, bait materials need to be replaced frequently, traps positioned and checked regularly. Ant populations can be kept under control with regular service s compared to infrequent applications by a homeowner that will only eliminate a temporary problem.
All of our employees who are involved in the application of any pesticide or rodenticide are licensed by the California Structural Pest Control Board (A state governmental agency). The knowledge of entomology and pesticide formulations that our technicians have is critical to solving an existing problem, or being proactive in preventing a problem. All materials are not the same. Rodent baits may “Taste” better to one species of rodent over another. Different brands of commercially available insecticides may be better suited to “Ants” rather than to “Spiders”. Having the knowledge to choose the most appropriate product or device is critical to solving our customers problem.
